Loosen up, let go of your inner critic and Paint Faces with Freedom today!
Paint Faces with freedom will give you the headstart you need to begin to approach portraiture with a sense of fun, whimsy and self-confidence.
Hi, I’m Tracy!
I've been teaching students to loosen up and find joy through art for more than 20 years. When I was a kid I really believed that art was some kind of special gift only given out to a select few at birth. In my family it was my brother Jason who seemed to have the magic art gene. He would spend hours sprawled on the floor sketching and whenever I tried to do the same my work would inevitably end up in the bin.
It wasn’t until I was 33 that I joined a local art class and my whole world shifted. Within two weeks I had the epiphany that art wasn't just for the lucky few and that creativity encompassed all parts of ourselves, that creating things; art, gardens, stories, games etc. was actually our birthright and not only that, but spending time creating and making art could enhance EVERY single aspect of our LIVES!!
I started teaching way back then, gathering the neighborhood kids into my garden shed, and since then I have been honing my skills with a mission to bring more joy, more play, more confidence and more ease to the lives of my students (now from 70+ countries around the world!) through artmaking!
Painting faces has always fascinated me, so much so, that portraiture was my first love when I began making art. A few years back I created my extensive Face Fascination class which has already been taken by hundreds of students!
Many of you were still a little nervous to take the leap into such a large course and asked me to create something smaller, something you could dip your toes (and paint brushes) into, a taster to give you the confidence to go further…
So here it is!
Do the insides of your mind sound like this?
- My portraits look like a toddler made them...
- How did they get such expression? Where do I even start?
- Which materials should I use and what works with what? Are there any rules?
- How can I stop comparing my work unfavorably to others and paint with more freedom?
A 5-part video course to help you overcome your fear of painting faces & increase your skill level and joy in artmaking!
The perfect online art class for artists of all levels who want to get in the flow and stay inspired!
You’ll learn how to:

(without throwing your work in the trash)
- Blend tools and materials together in innovative ways
(throw out the rule book instead!)

(and clear those negative, critical vibes)

Can I exhibit or sell the work I create in this workshop?
One of the main intentions in my courses is to help you find ways to connect with a style all of your own. So, with this in mind, I’m happy for you to show and sell original, innovative work created. If, however, you feel that you want to follow along more closely and produce pieces very similar to those within the projects that is all good, but I would ask that you don’t put those pieces out to exhibit or sell if they are close copies of my work. I trust that your heart will tell you what is too close.
